We were fortunate enough on Monday to have some former pupils come and visit us as part of British Science Week. Red Pandas were able to carry out a rotation of six different activities, ranging from shocking our friends with Van de Graaff generators to looking at fly heads under microscopes. There were lots of opportunities for discussion and learning.
A ‘Science Passport’ from the event should be coming home so you can see more of what was learned and start some discussions with your children.
We have continued the learning today with some of the activities about ‘Our Diverse Planet’ from the excellent British Science website. These activities will give the children the chance to learn from the school surroundings, making use of the woods and the outside buildings.
The website also has a section for families to try at home. You can find that information here
