As part of our science topic of Living Things and Habitats. Ocelots visited How Hill Environmental Study Centre. We took part in a nature trail, looking at the wide variety of plants on the site and comparing those that grew in wet woodlands with those in dry woodlands. We visited the bird hide and looked out over the broad and learned about how the Broads had been created. We also did some dyke dipping, finding a wide range of different creatures. Finally, we played a game of Hawks and Blackbirds which taught us about food chains and the importance of ensuring a balance between predators and their prey.
Thank you to How Hill for a fantastic day and also to all of the parent helpers who came with us.
